Anyone got it or planning on getting it soon?

I plan to get it within next month once I'm done a project. :D

If you got it rate how it is!

I refuse to buy it [for the pc], since the developer decided to remove dedicated servers and the perks of getting it for the pc from the game! However, I do have it for Xbox 360, its a pretty sweet game.

lmao I was going to point out the hilarity of mikes post but you beat me to it. GG mike.

Don't buy mw2. I bought it for pc and felt like a huge idiot for spending my hard-earned money (cue jeremy joke) on such a blatant console port. If you are a pretentious pc gamer like me, you'll feel used, abused, and violated. Not unlike most of the MAV crew when I sign onto tf2... ;)

I wasn't going to buy it for PC anyway, because CoD4 was awesome on 360.

MW2 is awesomer. You should definitely get it.

I bought it but have yet to install it. I heard the co-op play can be cool, but the multiplayer is lacking due to forced random servers and no LAN play.

I love it on the 360, until i had to send it in for RRoD :( some friends play it for pc and have been trying to get me to buy it but from what i've seen $60 is steep for a game i play just as easily on a console, maybe if steam has a sale or something i would buy it for pc.

Heh, i was hoping you had it for the pc for your opinion on it, but there will never be a sale for it, I waited out christmas and black friday but there was no sale, shit even CoD4 is still $40 US or something and there has never been a sale. (except WaW) i think

It more or less comes down to this. If you have only played MW for the xbox 360, you probably won't be disappointed with any version of MW2. If you are used to having dedicated servers and having the choice to join huge multiplayer matches (as per MW for the PC), then MW2 is a huge letdown.

I think I'll eventually get it, but there's no way I'll be paying full price.

Pft, yeah, good luck getting a deal on it. CoD4 is still $40, like you said, and as far as I know it's been on sale ONCE on Steam (half off weekend). That was a couple months ago.

But I mean, for what it's worth, if you want to pick it up, pick it up. I have some friends who got it for PC and they are perfectly content with the multiplayer. It does suck that there isn't dedicated servers and other goodies, but if you're okay with it and want to get it, then go for it.

Just don't be a stranger because of it. :)

I feel the same way.

Does it feel as bad as Borderlands? That was a horrible PC port. On the other hand companies know that the money is in console games, and a small share makes up PC gamers. Most games that come out in the future are goin to be ports for PC. Thats just business (aka $$$$$$$$). The trick is going to be how well they post the game.
