Not many people know this, so I thought I'd write it up.
When you're fighting against a solider, the most important thing to do is stand still. Most people will have the tendency to jump around and move from side to side, but this is what most soldiers expect, so they'll lead you and it will end in your demise.
So, best thing to do is stand very still. Do it!
Also, more pro-tips: pyro's air blast is ALWAYS a bad idea when fighting soldiers. It can lead to some haphazard scenarios that you just don't want to end up in. Demo's shouldn't even try to fight a soldier, as they are just not equipped to defeat one (especially if you have that weak targe thing). Just run away and go kill other classes. Finally, most spies don't know this, but they should really just die in a fire. Nobody likes spies...pick another class!
