So I was wondering the other day...do you guys listen to music while you game? If so, are you blasting it, or is it just background music?

Personally I listen to music quite often (hence why I tend to go mysteriously silent on the mic certain nights), normally something techno/house/metal. The key factor is the driving beat that keeps my head nodding, fuels the pwnage.

So do you guys frag to tunes?

It depends. For DotA / LoL, I like to keep my focus on chat and sound cues for abilities. Thus, I don't listen to music unless I'm roflstomping solo.

For FPSs, especially ones like TF2 or UT where I'm not on edge for audio clues, I love to rock some techno (Basshunter, OCRemix) or some Offspring / Rage against the Machine, or occasionally some hip hop (Pac, Luda, etc).

MW2 , however, you listen a lot for where people are, thus I keep the music off for that as well.

It all depends on what I'm needing from my sound ^^

I prefer ingame music/sounds , I don't like the distraction in any FPS but for MMOs like WoW or so I'd play some tunes.

I hate you so much. Luckily I didn't have my sound on at the time though.
