Supposedly, in the Demoman and Solider update, there were players that cheated to put their favorite class on top. One guy even had 2.5 kills per second for a whole week! You can read the full article on the TF2 Blog here (http://www.teamfortress.com/post.php?id=3388).
These are the type of people who ruin the great TF2 community. This kind of act discourages the developers to host events like these and kills the fun for everyone else! :(
