Screen Capture Videos

Since I'm new to PC gaming, I was wondering if anyone has suggestions for good video capture software that can run simultaneously to gaming. A google search yielded Free Screen Capture (http://www.free-screen-capture.com/) but I thought I'd ask what you guys think.

I dont know what people use, but if you want short videos < 30 seconds, the free version of fraps is quite good.

Get Xfire messenger and use it's in game video ability. It works kinda like steam, you can see your friends in game, join them, etc, i used it before i started playing TF2. But anyways, it lets you take as long as a video as you want, and it comes out at decent quality as well. If you want to host the video anywhere other than on your xfire page you'll have to do some conversions i think, though, but i doubt it's hard.

If you are looking to record TF2 videos, the source engine has a built in function to do so. You can read up on the TF2 wiki about it more here (http://tf2wiki.net/wiki/Help:Recording_demos). Hope this will help!
